Описание

Este proyecto pretende reunir la información biológica básica de algunas de las especies de roedores de las familias Muridae, Geomyidae, Heteromyidae y Sciuridae, incluidas en la lista del Proyecto de Norma Oficial Mexicana PROY-NOM-059-ECOL-2000, para contribuir a una mejor definición en la asignación de estas especies a las categorías de riesgo. Por su gran riqueza de especies y alta endemicidad, los roedores constituyen una proporción significativa de los mamíferos terrestres incluidos en dicho listado. La información se recopilará de la literatura especializada, de especímenes de museos y de trabajo de investigación desarrollados por el responsable. Se harán recomendaciones sobre cambios en la asignación de las especies a las categorías de riesgo que lo ameriten.
