Este trabajo pretende resolver problemas de definición y delimitación dentro del orden Chorococcales y elaboración de un manual de identificación de especies de este orden en 2 cuencas hidrológicas de la región central de México, la cuenca del río Amacuzac y la cuenca baja de río Panúco. Se elaborará una base de datos de acuerdo con el instructivo de la CONABIO.
